Biography of Ryan Rodney Reynolds

Ryan Rodney Reynolds (born October 23, 1976) is a Canadian television and film actor noted for his roles in the television sitcom Two Guys and a Girl (1998–2001) and for the comedy film National Lampoon's Van Wilder (2002). Reynolds was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada to James—a former Royal Canadian Mounted Policeman who later became a food wholesaler—and Tammy Reynolds, a retail salesperson.

Ryan, who is hitched to Scarlett Johansson, is pictured on the cover of this week's issue of Entertainment Weekly with a green mask.

He also shows off an impressive six pack clad in a matching body suit.

Reynolds stars as Hal Jordan, a pilot who receives a ring from a dying alien, which gives him the ability to fly, read minds, and create objects out of "green energy".

He is transformed into the Green Lantern and becomes part of an interstellar police force.

Green Lantern is scheduled for release in UK cinemas next year on June 17.
